Safety Day 2023

In keeping with tradition, we held our 6th Safety Day this year.

Here is a brief review of what happened and what was offered on this eventful day:

At the opening, the fire alarm drill was conducted. Afterwards, all employees were able to practice the proper operation of two different types of fire extinguishers under the guidance of the company Brandschutz Service Hering.

The company SPORTIVATION offered all employees the opportunity to test the strength of the different muscle groups of the back with the help of the Dr. Wolff Back-Check®. Furthermore, there were healthy smoothies to try, which were freshly mixed on a smoothie bike using pure muscle power. An "active mini-break" workshop was offered by the SPORTIVATION company under a bright blue sky and met with great interest.

The following services were offered by nurse Anja from the AMVZ Riesa:
- Blood pressure measurement/ heart rate
- Blood sugar/cholesterol measurement
- BMI calculation (height/weight).

Our occupational safety specialist, Mrs. Nicklisch, from the AMVZ Riesa was available to answer any safety-related questions.

The consultants from Würth presented hand protection, fall protection, eye protection and safety shoes.

The company Bürosysteme Baumann offered office chairs and conducted detailed consultations on the adjustment possibilities and optimal sitting positions.

The Hilti company presented equipment and machines, such as the EXO-S exoskeleton to support overhead and wall work, and offered a service check.

The physical well-being was taken care of with bratwurst, steak, grilled cheese as well as healthy fruit and apples from the fruit farm Bioobst Michael Görnitz.

In conclusion, we can say that this "Safety Day" was once again an enrichment for our daily work.

We would like to thank the employees of Brandschutz Service Hering, AOK Plus, SPORTIVATION, AMVZ Riesa, Würth, Bürosysteme Baumann, Hilti and all the consultants and colleagues who contributed to the success of the event.

We are looking forward to the "Safety Day 2024" and are happy to receive tips and advice on how to organise it.
