In keeping with tradition, we held our 9th Safety Day this year.
Here is a brief recap of the events and activities that took place on this action-packed day:
The day kicked off with a fire alarm drill.
Following this, all staff were able to practise the correct use of fire extinguishers as part of a fire safety drill, under the guidance of Mr Rico Göttlich from Brandschutz Jockel.
The activities organised by Laufszene Events gave all staff the chance to get some exercise. The football darts game required hand-eye coordination and accuracy. A game of Minesweeper on the T-Wall also allowed staff to compete against their colleagues and demonstrate their reaction times and hand-eye coordination.
Laufend Aktiv provided information on health in the workplace and practical tips for active breaks.
Nurse Anja from AMVZ Riesa offered the following services:
- Blood pressure/heart rate measurement
- Blood sugar/cholesterol measurement.
Represented by the Thomas Sportcenter, the AOK provided the opportunity for an Easy Torque muscle analysis. At the AOK Plus information stand, questions regarding statutory health insurance were answered.
The company Hilti presented new tools and machines and invited participants to take part in a competition: the task was to guess how many individual parts were in the Hilti box. The lucky winners received high-quality products from Hilti.
Refreshments included bratwurst, steak, grilled cheese, as well as healthy fruit and vegetables.
In conclusion, we can say that this “Safety Day” was once again a valuable addition to our daily work.
Our thanks go to the staff from Brandschutz Jockel, Laufszene Events, Nurse Anja from AMVZ Riesa, Hilti, AOK and AOK Plus, Laufend Aktiv, and all the specialist advisors and colleagues who contributed to the event’s success.
We look forward to Safety Day in 2027 and welcome any suggestions and advice on how to organise it.
